Freimmy Guerrero wanted to improve his English-speaking skills—and what better place to do that than Gatlinburg, Tennessee?

“My dad lived in New York for many years,” says Freimmy, who grew up in the eastern Dominican Republic, about 20 minutes from Punta Cana. “I visited the United States several times while I was growing up. After finishing high school and college, a friend working at Ober Mountain invited me to stay with him. I got a job there — and ended up staying a couple of years.”

Freimmy has now worked at Fannie Farkle’s for the past three years.

“I work in the arcade,” he says. “I really do a little bit of everything — handling merchandise, overseeing the prize counter, stepping in wherever I’m needed. I also fill in as arcade manager when Laurie Ross, the general manager, is off the floor or away on vacation.”

Freimmy says he loves being part of the team at Fannie Farkle’s. “We’re like a family here,” he says. “I’ve also made many friends among the customers — and I love our smoked sausage!”
