Alice Stover grew up in small town Enfield, Illinois, but vacationed in Gatlinburg as a teenager — and now, years later, she’s made Gatlinburg her home — where she works as a kitchen manager at Fannie Farkle’s.
“I loved playing games in the arcade when I visited,” says Alice, who, somewhat ironically, first started working in the arcade area before moving to the kitchen.
“Now I cook and serve people — my favorite is the cheesesteak—and I just love my job.” Alice says enthusiastically.
Alice has now worked at Fannie Farkle’s for seven years. “The working environment is so great,” she says. “Our general manager, Laurie, is the best person ever — and we really are one big family. This is a place where you feel appreciated.”
